The New Valley oases, there are group of plants and herbs that can be used in the treatment of some diseases, some of them are:

- Catnip, dammsesa, Al Ashaar Karkadeh: they are used in the treatment of rheumatism, catnip is mainly used to cure the digestive system diseases especially stomach ache.

- Egleeg (sugar palm): It is used in the treatment of diabetes patients.

- Handal: It is bitter in taste but it has great effect in the relief of the joint pains by heating the fruit and cutting it into two halves and be put on the place of pain.

How to get to the New Valley

By Air: There are two airports on is in Kharga and the other is in Dakhela. Egypt Air has flights on Sundays and Wednesdays every week
